Scott Martin retired from being pastor of Faith UCC in New Braunfels at the end of 2020 after serving there for15 years. While on sabbatical in 2019 he hiked the St Cuthbert Pilgrimage Trail from Melrose Scotland to the Isle of Lindisfarne, 62 miles. The theme of his sabbatical and for his church that year was “Pilgrimage Near and Far: A Theology of Place”. Since retiring he has hiked many of the state parks in the surrounding area but will be returning to the St. Cuthbert Trail this August to hike it with two clergy colleagues.
