Part of our tradition is to agree to a set of behaviors that support each individual and also benefit all of us. On November 14, 2014, the congregation approved the following covenant:
This is a place of safety and integrity, devoted to a vision of a world made better. We come together as equals and honor the diversity of those gathered here. To this end, we promise to:
- Support each other, young and old, in our quest for truth and well-being;
- Actively listen to each other with the intent to understand;
- Assume good intent in those with whom we have differences, and seek resolution with them in a kind and timely manner;
- Acknowledge and express appreciation to others often;
- Share our time, talent and treasure in the spirit of stewardship, accordingly to our ability;
- Participate in the consensus process and then support the outcome;
- Trust our chosen faith – Unitarian Universalism – to give us insight and guide our actions.
